Unmissable Jordan Moments
From the best dinner ever at Fakhreldin.
We spent just three days in Jordan, and I’m still amazed at how much we were able to experience in such a short time. None of it would’ve been possible without our incredible driver, who road-tripped with us and was by our side every step of the way. If you’re planning a trip to Jordan, I’d be more than happy to share his contact info—he made all the difference!
We spent the first night in the breathtaking Wadi Rum Desert — a cinematic landscape featured in films like Dune. A jeep tour through the red sands is an absolute must. We stayed at Memories Aicha Luxury Camp for one night. It looks like you’re on planet Mars🪐
We spent one night in Aqaba, but I definitely wish we had one more. If you're planning a visit, I'd recommend staying two nights. It's the perfect place to unwind, soak up the sun, and enjoy a slower pace before heading back to reality. stayed at the Hyatt Regency, just steps from Marina Village (often called the Greece of Jordan) a vision in white and blue, truly picture-perfect. Next time, I’d love to experience the Kempinski, perched right on the Red Sea. The one evening we were there we ate at a seafood restaurant but I would not recommend it. I heard great things about RED. Next time i’ll check that out.
Oh, and don’t miss B12 Beach Club — vibrant, colorful ambience. See the recap here
You can’t visit Jordan without seeing one of the world’s modern wonders, Petra. Go early to beat the crowds and experience its magic in peace. I wish we could have went to Petra by night but we only had the day.
Float in the Dead Sea!
Yes Jordan also has the Dead Sea, not just Israel. The salt content is insane… you literally float! We covered ourselves in mud, rinsed off, & my skin felt baby soft. Just don’t get it in your eyes like my man did.. because it really burns. Also, stock up on Dead Sea products!
Amman deserves more time than we gave it… Stay at The St. Regis & have dinner at Fakhreldin Restaurant. It was SO delicious. MUST GET Halawet El Jibn was the best dessert I’ve ever had!
Here’s a quick look at our Jordan road trip:
We flew from Egypt into Aqaba, then drove straight to Wadi Rum for one night. The next morning, we drove back to Aqaba and stayed at the Hyatt Regency. We spent the afternoon at B12 Beach Club.
The next day started early with a 5 AM pickup to Petra. We had a guide, but honestly, I don’t think one is necessary. After exploring, we drove to the Dead Sea and did a $60 day pass at the Crowne Plaza, which included a great buffet lunch. We floated, covered ourselves in mud, and relaxed for a few hours before heading to Amman.
We checked into The St. Regis, had an amazing dinner at Fakhreldin, and flew out the next day. Definitely need more time in Amman next trip!
I'm not usually one to revisit places — unless they leave a mark on me or bring me real joy. That said, Jordan… we’ll definitely be back.

Tips:
Don’t be shy—haggle! Bargaining is expected in many shops and markets (though not everywhere).
Don’t shave right before the Dead Sea. Saltwater and fresh razor burn do not mix.
Check conversion rates before you go: Know the exchange rate ahead of time so you’re not caught off guard. A little prep = smarter spending.
Made a mini stop on our road trip.
