Curacao Weekend Diary

At Klein Knip Bay.

The beautiful infinity pool at Renaissance Wind Creek Resort

Curaçao is home to some of the bluest, most breathtaking waters I’ve ever seen! Klein Knip Bay? Truly out of this world! This Dutch-Caribbean island was the perfect weekend get-a-way.

Hotel

Renaissance Wind Creek Resort has a stunning infinity pool and just steps away from Willemstad, the island’s vibrant capital filled with iconic colorful buildings. Oh, and it has a casino in the hotel.

To Eat and Drink

While you're there, don’t miss trying Curaçao’s famous blue cocktail! I liked it and even brought some home for my bar. The perfect souvenir.

De Visserij Piscadera. If there’s one thing you absolutely cannot skip, it’s dining here. This local gem was our favorite. If you love yourself order the mahi-mahi and seared tuna — unreal!

Rent a car and explore the island on your own time! That is how we got to Klein Knip Bay. That was some of the bluest water i’ve ever seen. However it was a bit rocky so we left for another beach.

We stayed for 3 days, and honestly it was the perfect amount of time to soak it all in without feeling rushed. After all, its a very small island.

Thinking about visiting Curaçao?
If I could do one thing differently, I would have explored it as part of a cruise. Many major cruise lines include the ABC Islands. Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao—in their itineraries. It’s such a convenient and scenic way to experience all three destinations in one trip.

Three days in Curaçao went by fast. If you’re after clear blue water, a good tan, and a low-key spot to unwind, it’s definitely worth considering.
